Play along with the Fantasy Index crew in our fun and exciting Blackout competition. Each week, choose 2 QBs, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 2 TEs and 2 defenses. Scores accumulate throughout the season and there will be only one Champion at the end!
This year we are going to try something a little bit different. Most weeks will have many of the top and most popular players removed from the player pool, just like in previous seasons. From time to time though, we are going to throw you a curveball with a themed challenge.
As an example, Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season will pay its respects to last season, players from all 2023 Division Winners will be unavailable. That means no Bills, Chiefs, Ravens, Texas, Cowboys, 49ers, Lions or Buccaneers in Week 1. On the other hand, players from every other team will be eligible, including some you won’t often see in the Blackout.
Don’t get used to having elite players at your fingertips though. Some challenges will open up the player pool, others will constrict it more than ever.
Each week's high score (PPR scoring) will win a $25 Fantasy Index gift certificate, and the season champ will win a nice prize package. Enter for Week 1 and stay in the hunt for the season championship!

How To Play
Sign into your Fantasy Index account and click the "Your stuff" link at the top of the screen. You can also click your name in the top right corner. Then look for the link to Fantasy Index Blackout 2024.

Click on the tab to acknowledge the 2024 rules, and please! Give your team a name, so your team name doesn't simply appear as "John Q." in the standings. After you've scrolled down to update your team name, click back on the Week 1 Entry tab and make your picks.
