The Green Bay Packers have found ways to win despite Jordan Love’s absence. Somehow, the Packers have won their last two games, with Malik Willis facilitating Matt LaFleur’s offensive system. Given the success they’re experiencing lately, it isn’t surprising that Green Bay has effectively moved the chains through big-time plays.
Pro Football Focus revealed that after Week 3 of the 2024 NFL season, the Packers lead the league in gains of at least 15 yards. They have 27, two more than the second-place Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens, who have 25. The Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys are tied in third place with 23 plays of at least 15 yards.

In addition to Josh Jacobs spearheading Green Bay’s rushing attack, Willis’ mobility has given the Packers a pseudo-running back who could take off with the ball.
Meanwhile, in their victory over the Tennessee Titans, the Packers completed two plays of 30 yards each in their first drive. In their second drive, Willis completed runs of 20 and 29 yards, helping Green Bay score a field goal.
The Packers’ talented roster on offense and solid coaching are vital ingredients to their early success. If both aspects work well, they can maintain their winning streak and position themselves as legitimate contenders.
However, before they can sniff the playoffs, their immediate mission is to hand the Minnesota Vikings their first loss this season. Eating up yards and Lambeau Field could give Green Bay a share of the NFC North lead.
