Sunday morning injury updates

McBride, Njoku in, Engram out

The injury updates are coming in, and of course there's already a game going on -- hope you got all your Vikings and Jets in and out of lineups. Here are the major developments thus far.

  • Trey McBride missed the last game with a concussion, then popped up as questionable with a rib injury. But he's expected to play for Arizona today.

  • Dameon Pierce (hamstring) is not expected to play for Houston. That doesn't make Cam Akers good, but it ensures he will again be the main runner for the Texans, with Dare Ogunbowale the favorite in passing situations.

  • Adam Schefter says that David Njoku (ankle) is expected to play for the Browns today, but might be limited. Not great; hard to count on him without knowing how much he might be on the field. But lacking a comparably ranked option, you can try Njoku and might get some production, even with limited snaps.

  • Aaron Rodgers just threw an ugly Pick Six, hope you started the impressive Vikings defense.

  • Anthony Richardson (oblique/hip/body) was downgraded to doubtful. He ain't playing. Joe Flacco will start, and the passing game for the Colts will probably be pretty good.

  • Update, Rodgers just got picked again. Probably someone else's fault, Davante Adams would have caught that ball if he'd been there.

  • Evan Engram (hamstring) is not expected to play for Jacksonville.

  • Cowboys have placed Brandin Cooks (knee) on IR. Jalen Tolbert will be the No. 2 wide receiver for Dallas, and a viable option (potentially better than Cooks has been over the next few games).

  • Patriots are activating Kendrick Bourne, in the unlikely event anyone wants to use a Patriots receiver.

Sort of a quiet morning, with most of these injury situations cleared up Friday or Saturday. But if I see anything surprising before the early kickoffs, I'll post in the comments below.
