Sunday morning injury updates

Fire up Bigsby, it seems

The Sunday morning injury updates are coming in, helping make lineup decisions easier. Here are some of the key reports from Ian Rapoport, and Adam Schefter et al.

  • Travis Etienne (hamstring) is called a longshot to play. Should be Tank Bigsby as the main runner against Green Bay, with D'Ernest Johnson a change of pace and in passing situations.

  • Tee Higgins (quad) sounds unlikely to be available. Picked up the injury in practice this week. Unfortunate, but it doesn't look like Higgins can be used. A plus for Andrei Iosivas, who has a ranking in the Friday Update "if TH out."

  • Both Deebo Samuel (wrist, illness) and George Kittle (foot) are expected to play. I wasn't concerned about Kittle. Samuel a little more worrisome, the guy was in the hospital a week ago, but sounds like he'll be available. Since they're playing the night game, maybe line up an alternative for Deebo in that game (against Dallas) or the Monday game (Giants-Steelers) just in case.

  • Tyreek Hill (foot) is expected to play. I'm using him as I would if he had a quarterback better than Tyler Huntley or Tim Boyle, which he does, with Tua back in the lineup.

  • Jayden Daniels (ribs) is a gametime decision. Ian Rapoport says that there's a realistic chance of him being active, while Adam Schefter says "signs point to him playing." Washington didn't elevate another quarterback (but they do have Marcus Mariota and Jeff Driskel). I think if he does play, there will be way less running than would be necessary to make Daniels a great fantasy choice. So even if he's active, I'd prefer to use someone else.

  • Jakobi Meyers (ankle) is expected to play. He'll be the Raiders No. 1 wideout against Kansas City and can be used as ranked.

  • Zay Flowers (ankle) is iffy. They're going to be checking him in pregame warmups or whatever. It sounds like he'll probably play, but Flowers hasn't been good enough this year to take the chance of him being active but limited, so I'm benching the guy.

  • Bucky Irving (toe) is expected to play. In a committee, making him a modest choice.

  • Ladd McConkey (hip) is expected to play for the Chargers. In a run-based offense, with a hip injury. McConkey is ranked as a modest starter in 12-team, start 3-WR leagues. I wouldn't consider him a great option, but an option.

  • Something from Schefter I did not know: Bengals running back Chase Brown and Eagles safety Sydney Brown are identical twins. Those teams play today.

If I see anything else significant before the games kick off I'll post in the comments below.
