Commanders Defeat Eagles With Last-Second Touchdown Pass

Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders were in for a tough battle even if the Philadelphia Eagles lost Jalen Hurts to injury. However, with the game on the line, the rookie quarterback from LSU delivered the victory.

Daniels threw the game-winning touchdown pass to Jamison Crowder with six seconds left in regulation. It wasn’t an easy pass because Crowder was at the back of the end zone, and the Eagles pass rush was closing in on Daniels.

What’s more impressive is that the connection with Crowder is Daniels’ fifth touchdown pass against their division rivals. The game-winning throw was Daniels’ second throw to Crowder. The QB from LSU also had two touchdown passes to Olamide Zaccheaus and one to Terry McLaurin. To highlight his versatility, Daniels added 81 rushing yards out of nine carries.

In addition to winning against the Eagles, the Commanders have solidified their claim to a postseason berth. They are 10-5, which puts them in fifth place in the NFC race. With Daniels at the helm, the Washington franchise completed their double-digit win season since 2012.

However, despite defeating the Eagles, the Commanders haven’t clinched a playoff ticket yet. With Daniels at the helm, though, the Commanders are favored in pulling through.
