Marvin Harrison Jr. carried a massive weight on his shoulders as he entered the National Football League. While he can ignore the comparisons, his career will always be seen through his father’s lens. It’s a tall order because Marvin Harrison Sr. is a Super Bowl champion, an eight-time All-Pro, and a Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee.
However, as DraftSharks Fantasy Football analyst Jared Smola pointed out, the son has matched his father’s output, at least for his rookie season. Marvin Harrison Sr. had 64 receptions for 836 yards and eight touchdowns during his rookie year with the Indianapolis Colts. Meanwhile, the fourth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft finished with 63 receptions for 885 yards and eight touchdowns.

In addition to those numbers, the former Ohio State standout helped the Arizona Cardinals improve their win total from four in 2023 to eight this season. While they are still missing the playoffs, this is a positive step toward a brighter future for a franchise that made the playoffs only once over the last nine seasons.
