It's Been a While Since The Dolphins Last Won a Playoff Game

The Miami Dolphins missed the 2024 NFL playoffs after finishing with an 8-9 record. They had a chance to clinch a postseason berth but with the help of other results. Therefore, Miami’s playoff win drought continues despite having an explosive offense. To highlight the drought’s length, an NFL quarterback was two weeks old when the Dolphins last won in the postseason.

The NFL UK & Ireland account on X/Twitter shared that the Dolphins last won a playoff game on December 30, 2000. They defeated the Indianapolis Colts via overtime in the Wild Card Round but were shut out by the then-Oakland Raiders in the Divisional Round.

Twelve days before that victory, Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was born. The rookie from LSU led the Commanders to a Wild Card Round road victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, making him the only rookie QB left in the competition. The Commanders will visit the top-seed Detroit Lions in the Divisional Round.

Meanwhile, it’s not that the Dolphins never returned to the playoffs since their last win. They punched their ticket five times, including in back-to-back 2022 and 2023 seasons. However, they never made it past the Wild Card Round, losing all five matches. Sadly, after how their 2024 season ended, the Dolphins have more questions than answers before the next season starts.
