DeVonta Smith has been lights out against the Chiefs

The Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs will have their second Super Bowl matchup in three seasons. While both teams have elite defensive units, the offense will play a massive role in which squad wins.

The Eagles lost to the Chiefs the last time they met in the big games. However, their fans should be confident that wide receiver DeVonta Smith has been excellent against a defense orchestrated by Steve Spagnuolo.

Sports Gambling Podcast host Sean Green pointed out that Smith had 20 catches for 321 yards against the Chiefs. That number is divided into seven catches for 122 yards, seven catches for 100 yards, and six catches for 99 yards.

While Smith has the speed to leave opposing defenders, Kansas City’s secondary has playmakers in Jaylen Watson, Bryan Cook, Justin Reid, and All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie. Therefore, Super Bowl LIX will be the ultimate proving ground for Smith, especially if he dominates against those who will line up against him.
