Landon Dickerson to Undergo Offseason Surgery

Left guard Landon Dickerson is integral in helping the Philadelphia Eagles win Super Bowl LIX. The offensive lineman from Alabama is part of an elite group that protected quarterback Jalen Hurts and launched running back Saquon Barkley to become the newest member of the 2,000-yard club.

However, while he ended up playing 20 out of the 21 Eagles games this season (including playoffs), the grind took a physical toll on him. With the title already in the bag, Dickers will now attend to his health as he undergoes surgery on his left knee, as the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Jeff McLane reported.

Dickerson has been a fantastic find for Eagles general manager Howie Roseman. The former Rimington Trophy winner has been a Pro Bowler for the past three seasons, making his four-year, $84 million contract extension a great investment.

His excellence as an interior offensive lineman makes him deserving of being the NFL’s highest-paid guard. It’s also an understatement that the Eagles got fantastic value out of his rookie contract. Since he’s not going anywhere, he and his fellow Eagles offensive linemen (Lane Johnson, Jordan Mailata, and Cam Jurgens) will continue to terrorize the league as they look to start a new dynasty.
