Dynasty Mock Draft Rounds 9-11

Mock draft season continues! FI staff is putting together both a live auction mock on 7/31 at 8pm EST and a Redraft slow mock starting soon. If you want to join either mock draft leave a comment!

The dynasty mock has made it into the later rounds. Only two teams are still looking for a TE and all but Jessel have drafted a QB. Had Jessel selected one he’d likely have a narrow advantage in 2025 projected points but as is Ian still holds that spot. I’d rate those two rosters among the best through eleven rounds along with Andy, Lou and Gibbsy. I’m viewing Breece and Tabby as a second tier but not far behind. Take a look at the draft board :

Ian miraculously added Jonathan Taylor to start the 3rd and finally added his RB2 in the 8th with Jaylen Warren. Warren should lead the Steelers backfield this season but he’s never had more than 150 attempts in the NFL and has a rookie breathing down his neck. The opportunity is there but it’s hard to see him as a great RB2 on the dynasty this roster could become. Over the next three rounds Ian deftly strengthened the position by drafting three young RBs who are likely to yield at least one starter in 2026 and beyond. Issac Guerendo is the heir apparent to Christian McCaffery, Blake Corum backs up Kyren Williams in a great offense for RB and Ray Davis played well in 2024. I like this strategy and I’m confident that one of these guys will fit into that RB2 role this year or next.

Bryce’s RB2, Kenneth Walker, is a guy I like but there are some legitimate concerns. Alvin Kamara inspires a more confidence for this season but also only makes sense on a win now team.Tony Pollard the 9th round seems to be almost redundant with Kamara but he’s a starter and the player pool was a bit thin there. Rashid Shaheed had four touchdowns and was averaging almost 7 targets per game before getting hurt. I love the potential in the 10th. Bryce has the 6th highest projected points but the 3rd youngest roster, so this is a balanced roster with good potential but needs his 11th round QB, C.J. Stroud to bounce back if he wants this roster to come together this year.

Falchion is operating on a different set of priorities than the rest of us, and that’s fine. He’s taken young upside bets in five out of eleven rounds and sprinkled in vets where he likes the values. His 9th round pick, Cedric Tillman, may have a chance to emerge as the Brown’s WR2 this season, but the continuing mess at QB and Tillman’s 50 total receptions over his two seasons don’t inspire much confidence. J.K. Dobbins and Jerome Ford are also long shots transform into dynasty gold. All that aside, if this were a real league I have no doubt that Falchion would come into the rookie draft with the 1.01 and 8 total picks in the first two rounds.

Lou had one of the more balanced rosters through eight rounds. In the 9th he took his first TE with Mark Andrews. His volume fell off the last two years but 11 touchdowns in 2024 is a career high and bodes well for his value here. In the 10th Lou added Caleb Williams as his QB which is a great value at 45 spots after his ADP. Willams has the pedigree and offensive weapons to catapult into the top 10 in 2025 especially if the Bears’ heavy investment on the offensive line works out. Xavier Legette adds some youth and depth in the 11th.

My roster follows Lou. I’ve leaned into staying young while trying to avoid risk. RB3 is a position I consider vital and I wasn’t thrilled with Zach Charbonnet in the 8th. I followed that up with Trey Benson in the 9th and I feel a lot better about the roster. Benson is likely only a handcuff behind James Conner this season but with Conner turning 30 and representing just $2.25 million in dead cap in 2026, Benson has a good path to being an NFL starter by next year. In the 10th I took Darnell Mooney. For a deep threat he saw over 100 targets and 5 touchdowns last season. In the 11th I went with Jalen McMillian to continue my collection of young WRs. I’m trailing Ian in projected points by almost 250 but I’ve got the second youngest roster and I think I have a good group of players for this approach.

I included Jessel in my top tier because he’s one of the favorites to take home the championship in year one. He took crazy values on Christian McCaffrey and Derrick Henry in the 4th and 5th. He selected 30 year-old Aaron Jones in the 9th. Jessel now has four key players over 29 years old. He added Patriots’ rookie Kyle Williams in the 10th and a second TE in Jake Ferguson in the 11th. Jessel still needs a QB but his roster is seriously scary for this season.

Gibbsy started off this draft with little regard for rankings or ADP, which isn’t necessarily a bad approach. He’s ended up building a really solid roster. He added two veteran WRs with Deebo Samuel and Cooper Kupp in the 9th and 11th and selected another RB Najee Harris in the 10th. Najee could find himself the workhorse in Jim Harbaugh’s offense but is in a close competition with rookie Omarion Hampton. For a team dealing with a 12% QB scramble rate, a reliable short yardage target like Deebo is a good fit for the Commanders. Kupp is 32 years old and whatever is left in the tank is a bonus for fantasy. There wasn’t a better WR option there but I’d have just taken another RB.

If you can look past Breece’s obsession with small WRs his roster is pretty good. Josh Downs in the 8th is Breece’s 4th WR under 200lbs but he broke the streak in the 9th with another Raiders rookie Jack Bech, 214 lbs. He’s got a great shot to emerge as the WR2 in Las Vegas as the raiders have Jakobi Meyers and not much else on the roster. Breece finished out this portion with back-to-back TEs Tucker Kraft and Dalton Kincaid. He’s a bit thin at RB and the WRs lack the top end firepower to contend in 2025, but with a league low average age of 23.36 years the future is bright for this squad.

Alex added Brian Robinson in the 8th as his RB2. Robinson was the RB30 on a per-game basis in 2024 and Jayden Daniels is likely going to continue to be the engine of the Commander’s running game. In the 9th he added Jordan Mason but he’s behind Aaron Jones and the Vikings offense will likely provide league average rush attempts at best. Alex added Marvin Mims in the 10th for some young upside. Despite his late season tear, I’m not optimistic that Mims will be a reliable contributor unless he can get on the field more than 40% of time. It it’s not a bad gamble at this point in the draft though. David Njoku at the end of the 11th round is ridiculous value, his ADP is 20 spots earlier.

Andy Richardson had only two WRs headed into round 9 where he drafted Jakobi Meyers. The 28 year-old has provided a reliable fantasy floor for the last four seasons. The Raiders want to run the ball this season, so his upside may be limited but as a WR3 he should suffice. In the 11th Andy took Stefon Diggs. Diggs is 31 and recovering from an ACL tear. It takes a bit of faith to see him as a top 12 WR these days but in the last seven seasons he finished as a top 10 fantasy WR in PPR six times and was WR24 the other time. At 11.10 he looks like great depth for a contending team but WR is going to be an issue for this roster in the near future.

Luke Wilson’s roster has the third highest projected points but the only player older than 26 was James Conner who is a great mid round option when, like Luke, you’ve waited at RB. It’s also an indication that you’re probably looking to contend this season. Adding Michael Pittman in the 9th is in line with that approach. Pittman quietly finished as a top 20 WR in the three seasons prior to 2024. The Colts are a bit of a mess at QB and Pittman has never caught more than six touchdowns but his consistency is worth more than a flashy youngster here if you’re trying to win. Luke also took Bo Nix in the 10th and added Jonnu Smith in the 11th. Jonnu is one of the best players available there and Luke will start two tight ends against you.

Tabby's team is currently projected for the fourth most points in 2025, just behind Luke. This was a balanced roster through the first eight rounds with three solid RBs and four WR’s. At the 9/10 turn he added Jauan Jennings and Dylan Sampson. I like the Sampson pick here. The Browns have been lining him up as a back and a receiver in OTAs and the Browns have utilized a pass catching back for years with Kareem Hunt then Jerome Ford. It might not be this season but Sampson has a solid chance to be a fantasy starter. In the 11th Tabby finally selected his QB, Bryce Young. After Week 8 Young averaged 18.63 fantasy points which would have put him around QB12 over a full season and the Panthers have added some weapons and support on offense.

These teams have three more rounds to shore up their rosters or hunt for upside. After one more review it’s on to a redraft slow mock and later this month the live auction mock. If you want to participate let me know if the comments.
