Not much late breaking news in Week 2 but some important injuries to keep in mind.
- Brock Bowers may still carry a questionable tag but he’s likely playing Monday night. According to reports he felt fine and looked good in limited work during Saturday’s practice and afterward Pete Carroll told reporters he expects him to play.
- Brock Purdy has been ruled out for the 49ers game in the early window. Mac Jones will start in his place. Adam Schefter is reporting that Jauan Jennings is expected to play, but with George Kittle on IR San Francisco’s trip to New Orleans could turn out to be a low-scoring and hard-fought affair. The Saints defense had 6 sacks Week 1 and Vegas has the point total at 40.5, the lowest for the week.
- Christian Kirk will miss his second game with a hamstring injury as the Texans host the Buccaneers in the first of two Monday Night games.
- Quinshon Judkins will play for the Browns in Week 2 but will be on a limited snap count in Baltimore.
- Xavier Worthy is out as well as Jalen Royals. Hollywood Brown hauled in 10 of 16 targets after Worthy’s injury last week and should be the primary target again.
- Dallas Goedert has been ruled out for that game as well.
- The Falcons have seen enough of kicker Younghoe Koo. He’s a healthy scratch and Parker Romo will be kicking in their Sunday night match in Minnesota.
- It’s too late to do anything about it this week but Jayden Reed’s collarbone is broken. He needs surgery and won’t see the field again until November. Austin Ekeler tore his Achilles. That’s the end of his season and perhaps his career.
I’ll post any updates in the comments if more news breaks.
