Question
Who was the first coach to take different franchises to Super Bowls?
Answer
Don Shula. He coached the Colts in Super Bowl III. After taking over the Dolphins in 1970, Shula got them to Super Bowls in 1971, 1972 and 1973 (and two more in the early ’80s). The two key cities in Shula’s football career (Baltimore and Miami) will meet in this week’s Thursday game.
