It's Sunday morning and I have no idea what time it is, it depends on how understanding you are of how Daylight Savings works. But games are kicking off in a few hours and we do have some updates. Some.
For the Seahawks tonight, Cooper Kupp (hamstring) is unlikely to play. I'm not sure a lot of fantasy hopes rested on Kupp's availability, but I have him in a deep Standard league and was planning on using him, as the No. 2 WR in a good matchup at Washington. It should instead be rookie Tory Horton in that role, an opportunity for him to have a nice game (but you'd be using him without much to go on, probably starting him over safer options).
Joe Flacco (shoulder) is expected to start for Cincinnati against Chicago. On the one hand, presumably he wouldn't be starting if they didn't feel he could throw the ball as normal. On the other hand, we really don't know how he might feel after gunning it 10-15 times in game action. I think there is some small risk in starting Flacco and if you have a comparably ranked option from Friday's update, safer to go with the healthy guy.
The Saints should have banged-up starters Alvin Kamara (ankle) and Rashid Shaheed (hip) against the Rams.
Houston will have Dalton Schultz (knee, shoulder) against the Broncos.
A couple of elevations from practice squads to keep in mind. While the Patriots won't have Rhamondre Stevenson, they do have Terrell Jennings, and they elevated D'Ernest Johnson from the practice squad. A note of caution if you're planning on using rookie TreVeyon Henderson. Logically he should be the main back, having been the No. 2 of late, but Mike Vrabel does have other options if he still wants to limit his rookie's chances.
The other one involves Kansas City, who promoted Clyde Edwards-Helaire from the practice squad. Again logically, he should be the No. 3 behind Kareem Hunt and Brashard Smith. But Andy Reid doesn't care about your fantasy team and may opt to give CEH some carries, with Isiah Pacheco out.
Jacoby Brissett will start for Arizona at Dallas Monday night.
If I see any other developments before the early games, I'll post in the comments below.
