Sunday morning injury updates

Most questionable guys playing

These international games have sure been hit or miss. Miami and Washington have two of the worst defenses in the league, bottom-10 in yards and points allowed. Here we are approaching halftime and it's 6-3. Ugly.

  • Calvin Ridley (hamstring) is expected to play for the Titans. It's a lesser passing game against the league's 4th-best pass defense, but Ridley should be out there.

  • Quentin Johnston (shin) should play for the Chargers. Matchup, quarterback, and passing game all a little better for Johnston, big issue is the competition for targets.

  • Davante Adams (oblique) is expected to play for the Rams. Not surprising, and a better matchup for passing than running with Seattle. And a quarterback on top of his game.

  • Drake London (illness/back) should play for the Falcons against the Panthers, no surprise there.

  • One guy not expected to play is Brian Thomas (ankle). Never seemed overly likely to play and considering his disappointing season it's probably just as well.

  • News item from yesterday is that Sam LaPorta (back) was placed on IR. The Lions tight end will now miss at least the next four games. I have him in a league with an IR spot and will use it, but if I had to burn a roster spot for the next four weeks I'd be debating cutting ties. Earliest he can play is Week 15 and even that can't be taken for granted.

  • Cardinals running back Bam Knight (ankle) is expected to play. In a committee. Building on his 3.3 yards per attempt this season.

Think that's about it, but if I see anything else significant before the early kickoffs, I'll post in the comments below.

Justice Hill out, how does that affect your view of Henry (ie how many additional points in the ranking)? I wasn’t going to trust Henry against Cleveland in Cleveland after the stinker he put up earlier this year against them. My plan was to start T Macmillan over him due to safer floor, even though Henry was projected a point or two higher (PPR).

Hill being out was reflected in the Friday rankings update. It's not a big deal; for one Hill isn't actually touching it that much, and I think it would maybe benefit Keaton Mitchell in a couple of targets rather than Henry. Henry's appeal versus Tet is he's more likely to score.

Multiple reports say Keon Coleman is being benched (not for injury). Would Josh Palmer or even Gabe Davis be worth a desperation flex play over Rashid Shaheed?

With BTJ ruled out for today, does that make you like Jakobi Meyers any more? Have to choose between Jakobi and Sutton today. Any thoughts? Thanks

Dave the fact that there are multiple possible wideouts who could benefit from Coleman's absence is why I'd be unwilling to start either of them.

Starting Meyers over Sutton is reasonable. I would personally probably use Sutton, but the numbers are similar.

Brandon McManus inactive, Lucas Havrisik will kick for GB.

Rankings good on above questions, no relevant injuries have cropped up since Friday to change anything

Mind talking me into (or out of) starting Freiermuth over Mark Andrews (standard scoring), please? Thx in advance.

That may have been the dumbest play call this season. Take the 3 and see if your D can hold up for 1:44...wow!

Currently have WanDale and Egbuka at WR. Concerned about the wind. Think I should substitute in Piersall, Parker Washington, or Cortland Sutton?

Hi Andy. Need a flex, PPR, Goedert or Odunze? Custom rankings say Goedert by 0.5 pts. but I worry about him being largely TD dependent.

Andy, not sure if you'll see this so much after the fact but man.....THANK YOU. What a great call on Sean Tucker. Dropped Demercado this am for Tucker and it worked out quite swimmingly. Cheers!

AND....not to mention yours AND Ian's call on Michael Wilson. Wow. Sniper-type move. Thank you, Fantasy Index. Best in the industry.
