Factoid: Devonta Smith

Typically you don’t want to select wide receivers in the first round. There are so many really good ones who are selected in the later rounds. Most recently, Tee Higgins, Michael Pittman, Chase Claypool and Gabriel Davis. But Devonta Smith sure was impressive in the national championship game last night.   more »

Lock throwing to Jeudy in Denver

Denver quarterback DREW LOCK and rookie wide receiver JERRY JEUDY have reportedly been practicing daily at a field somewhere in Denver. Jeudy was Denver’s first-round pick in April’s draft, and he and Lock appear to be getting a head start on developing chemistry.

They were the first three pass catchers selected in the real-life draft, and there’s a tendency to have confidence that NFL teams know what they’re doing.
