Call him a Bell cow. If the Steelers are looking for back who can carry a big workload, they may have gotten their man. Le'Veon Bell is not only large (245 pounds), he's also shown he can play full-time.
At Michigan State, Bell (Pittsburgh's second-round pick) averaged over 29 carries per game.
In NFL history, only one running back - Larry Johnson - has ever averaged 26 carries per game.
Not saying the Steelers should plan on running Bell 25 times per game. He won't last long if he does. But he's shown he handle a big workload.
Here's a comparison, showing Bell, as well as all the NFL running backs who've averaged over 24 carries in a season.
