Youth movement forecast in Pittsburgh

The Steelers come off a disappointing 2012 season; this was a team that went to a Super Bowl, recall, just two years earlier. Local media now expects, if not a rebuilding year, a clear youth movement in 2013.

LeVeon Bell, Markus Wheaton; those are guys expected to make an impact right away.. The Tribune-Review expects Bell to start right away at running back, while Wheaton will be in the mix to be the team's third receiver.

The Steelers also drafted a quarterback, Landry Jones, who might be the heir apparent to Ben Roethlisberger, or "the next Dennis Dixon." What's clear is that the backup job is available for competition; the Steelers will probably go with Bruce Gradkowski, but maybe Jones makes a play for that job.

One interesting position for the Steelers is tight end. Heath Miller seems unlikely to be ready for the start of the season after tearing his ACL late last year. The article indicates that nobody knows when he'll be ready; the team doesn't really have an appealing option behind him. It's something to track in the preseason; maybe the team looks to add a player depending on how Miller's health comes along.
