Value in the Jets?

It can be hard to take the Jets seriously, what with how bad they were last year, and how devoid of offensive talent they appear to be. But they're an NFL team with players actually starting at the key fantasy positions, so they can't be entirely overlooked.

Chris Ivory can play; he showed that in New Orleans. Stephen Hill has some talent, and Santonio Holmes was part of a Super Bowl winning Steelers team. And Jeff Cumberland might not seem like an overly appealing option at tight end, but he thinks he'll be pretty good.

"I feel like I can be one of the premiere, elite tight ends," says Cumberland. "I'm big, I'm strong, I'm fast. I mean, I have all the tools to be one of the top guys in the league."

Most fantasy owners no doubt view Cumberland as just a warm body filling the space vacated when the Jets let Dustin Keller walk -- certainly not as elite. But maybe the truth is somewhere in the middle. The Jets, certainly, have some degree of faith in him, since they didn't pursue another option at the position.

Tough to believe the Jets in general and Cumberland specifically will surprise us, but you never know.
