Seattle hasn't had much luck with big-name receiver additions over the year, and that tradition could continue. Percy Harvin has a hip injury that could result in surgery.
Seattle has high hopes for Percy Harvin. It gave up a bunch to get him, including a first-round pick, and it signed him to a huge contract.
But Harvin might not be ready to play on opening day. He's got a hip injury that could involve a torn labrum. That might result in a surgery, keeping Harvin out until September -- or longer.
Whether or not Harvin undergoes surgery, it looks like he will miss most of camp. That will hurt his ability to build a strong rapport with Russell Wilson. And why do we get the feeling Harvin is shaping up to be yet another underwhelming receiver addition for the Seahawks? They swung big on receivers three times in recent years, and all three of those guys have been misses.
