Is the running game dead? Or was Week 1 merely an aberation? Only three players ran for over 100 yards, and one of them was a quarterback (Terrelle Pryor). Another came off the bench to do it (Shane Vereen).
So there was only one true 100-yard runner in the first set of 16 games -- LeSean McCoy (who threw down 184 yards with authority).
These are not uncharted waters. There were only two 100-yard runners in both the 1990 and 1993 seasons (and there were fewer teams at that time).
