Give me a do-over on Super League

No two ways about it: my Week 1 Super League team was godawful. It took me so long to find it while scrolling down the Weekly Results that I actually wondered if I'd submitted a lineup at all. And I thought I was playing it safe, too.

But I'm not going to dwell on past mistakes. I'm just going to start turning things around this week.

To recap, this is our free Fantasy Index Subscriber Super League competition. Each week you pick your best lineup of 2 QBs, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 2 TEs, and 2 PKs. You can enter at this link. You'll be competing against Fantasy Index staffers and your fellow readers, and you can win prizes, both weekly and overall. All the details are at the above link.

On to Week 2. Here's my plan.

Quarterbacks: Peyton Manning and Drew Brees. Two great quarterbacks against two soft defenses tailor-made for them to be lit up through the air.

Running Backs: I started David Wilson in this thing last week. Shame I didn't also go with Stevan Ridley, that would have been just perfect. Heck with that. This week I'm going with Jamaal Charles and LeSean McCoy. They're home, they're great, they're facing a couple of flawed defenses.

Wide Receivers: Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Vincent Jackson. Nothing too fancy here. Two of these guys are playing in the same game, but what are you gonna do, they're awesome. I considered A.J. Green, but the point potential in these two games is much higher.

Tight Ends: Jimmy Graham and Julius Thomas. Why not.

Kickers: Stephen Gostkowski and Robbie Gould. I like kickers at home in games I think they're going to win and score plenty.

Don't call it a comeback, but things will be better this week (they can't possibly be any worse).
