Week 2 better, but work yet to do in Super League

I put together a much better effort in the Week 2 Super League; as in, I didn't almost fall asleep scrolling down to find my roster. Imagine if I hadn't foolishly switched from Aaron Rodgers to Drew Brees at the last minute. Anyway, I'm back in the hunt, and looking to make more hay in Week 3.

For those poor souls who are late to the game, this is our free Fantasy Index Subscriber Super League competition. Each week you pick your best lineup of 2 QBs, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 2 TEs, and 2 PKs. You can enter at this link. You'll be competing against Fantasy Index staffers and your fellow readers, and you can win prizes, both weekly and overall. (Although if you've missed the first two weeks, you've got a lot of catching up to do, so best focus on the Weekly prizes.)

On to Week 3.

Quarterbacks: Eli Manning and Matthew Stafford. Maybe I'm getting a little too cute here, but they're both facing very, very soft secondaries, and their teams shouldn't do much on the ground. The vast majority of the offense in both games (and there should be plenty) will come through the air.

Running Backs: Chris Johnson and Marshawn Lynch. I think Johnson has a good chance to bust out against San Diego, and I know the Jaguars can't handle Lynch. He might get spelled more than usual in this game, but I think it will be after he goes for 100-plus and 2 TDs by halftime.

Wide Receivers: A.J. Green, Calvin Johnson, Pierre Garcon. Why not go with a pair of receivers squaring off in the same game, which figures to be an aerial battle? Green should have a big game against the Packers' iffy secondary.

Tight Ends: Jimmy Graham and Julius Thomas. No comment, there's just no great argument for putting anyone else into the lineup.

Kickers: Phil Dawson and Matt Prater. Home teams that should score plenty and win.

Good luck to the rest of you, I'll let you know how I spend my weekly prize.
