At this point, with my 3-week total somewhere in the bottom half of this competition, I need to confront the possibility that I'm terrible at this Super League game. I considered sputtering about how it was just a typo that caused me to use "Eli" rather than "Peyton" Manning in last week's competition, but that would be a lie. Dumb move.
As a refresher, this is the Fantasy Index Subscriber Super League competition. Each week you pick your best lineup of 2 QBs, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 2 TEs, and 2 PKs. You can enter at this link. You're competing against Fantasy Index staffers (the ones who are doing well, anyway; I see Murillo up near the top) and your fellow readers, and you can win prizes, both weekly and overall.
Let's see if I can be a little smarter in Week 4.
Quarterbacks: Peyton Manning and Drew Brees. I'm done with getting cute, and done with Eli Manning, obviously.
Running Backs: Alfred Morris and Doug Martin. I like Morris against Oakland's defense, which I believe has played better than it actually is so far. I love Martin against Arizona; the Bucs should make him the centerpiece of whatever they do. Lot of other good running backs in poor matchups.
Wide Receivers: Julio Jones, Demaryius Thomas, Dez Bryant. Young, talented guys working with very good quarterbacks against lousy secondaries. Don't overthink this one.
Tight Ends: Jimmy Graham (duh) and Rob Gronkowski. Obviously I will switch off Gronk if it seems like he's not certain to play. I could manage quite nicely with either Jason Witten or Julius Thomas, I think.
Kickers: Matt Prater and Garrett Hartley. Home teams that will score points and probably win, that's usually my rule with these guys.
Good luck to the rest of you.
