Quarterbacks selected in the second round of the annual draft over the last 25 years haven't worked out too well. Brett Favre and Drew Brees turned out great, but they stand out in part because there have been so many flops. But maybe things are getting better.
The last four quarterbacks selected in the second round have a conference championship winner (Colin Kaepernick) and one who's taken his team to the playoffs in each of the last two seasons (Andy Dalton). It's too early to say on Geno Smith and Brock Osweiler, but at least they can't already be written off like Jimmy Clausen and Pat White.
