Rich, If your league has a history of how dollars are allocated, then that will help guide your choices. But in a 5x5 format, Cliff Lee is immensely valuable. Over the last six years he's AVERAGED more than 230 IP, 192 strikeouts, almost 14 wins, 2.93 ERA and an unbelievable 1.02 WHIP (and three of those seasons were spent in the tougher-on-pitchers American League). These are amazing numbers at a position where players get hurt a lot.

Tulowitzki is No. 52 on our 5x5 combo cheat sheet. He's ranked higher on the 4x4 version because so much of his value comes from his contribution in the batting average category. He contributes very few stolen bases (just 1 last year), and his projected runs scored total is not enormous. He's averaged only 435 at-bats over the past five years, so if anything, our playing time projection of 524 at-bats is generous.

Fair enough. In the type of league I am in we would not draft Lee that high or Tulo that low but I see your point. Thanks.

I am in an auction draft and my strategy was to spend a very small amount of money on OF's and stack up elsewhere.....I ended up with C. Granderson, B. Hamilton, and N. Cruz. Do you believe that is a strong enough OF?
