A week ago the Carolina defense was traded in my dynasty league, one of the rare times in the history of the league I've seen a defense traded. The Panthers were an impressive group in both NFL and fantasy terms, ranked 2nd in both yards and points allowed (and a top-5 fantasy group in most scoring systems).
Credit their pass rush, led by Charles Johnson and Greg Hardy, who combined for 26 of the team's 60 sacks. That ties for the highest total by any NFL team since 2006, and is the 3rd-highest by any team since 1990. (Carolina has actually reached that total twice in that time period; they also recorded 60 sacks back in 1996.)
Top sack seasons, by team, since 1990 are presented below. Representatives from 2013 are in bold.
