Andy Dalton threw 20 interceptions last year and lived to tell about. The Bengals were still able to go 11-5, winning the AFC North.
That’s not generally the case with turnovers. Usually when you turn the ball over, you lose. (Or, in some situations, you’re losing so you take more chances and wind up with more interceptions.)
In the last three years, 18 other teams have thrown at least 20 interceptions. None of those teams made the playoffs. Only one finished with a winning record (Arizona, going 10-6 last year).
