Every year there's one of those breakout young wide receivers who everyone knows will be good, but few predict just how good. Last year it was Alshon Jeffery, maybe this year it will be Michael Floyd.
Floyd went over 1,000 yards last season, but caught only 65 passes and 5 TDs. Now he's poised for an even bigger step up. Carson Palmer, certainly, is expecting a huge season.
“The way Mike Floyd is playing,” Palmer said, in the story at the team's official website, “just jumped out at me. ... I have very high expectations for Mike this year.”
Floyd was a fifth-round pick in the experts draft for our magazine that we held a couple of nights ago. It sounds like Palmer expects him to dramatically outplay the expectations of that spot.
