According to the NFL Network morning show, Tony Romo (back) will be held out of today's game against Arizona. Brandon Weeden will get the start in his place. If you use the Friday rankings update, Weeden should be slotted where he's listed with the "if Romo out" designation.
I'm not a doctor, but if Romo is sitting out because of the two small fractures in his back this week, you can't feel overly optimistic that he'll be available next week. The Cowboys are indicating they're hopeful, according to that same NFL Network report, but the fractures don't figure to be entirely healed by then. Dallas has a bye in Week 11, so if the team holds Romo out this week and next, he'd get nearly four weeks to heal between games.
Weeden should be a pretty decent option against a soft Arizona pass defense this week, and could be fine against Jacksonville in London next week, too.
Weeden isn't as good as Romo, obviously, but no reason to think his receivers won't be OK. As we discussed on the site last week, Jason Witten could actually be a little better. He caught a touchdown from Weeden against Washington.
