Final week of the season, and things get a little tricky in some matchups. Will starters play throughout? Will anyone care? Will coaches tell the truth? When in doubt, favor players from teams you know need a win for some reason.
You know the drill by now. Pick 2 QBs, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, 2 TEs, and 2 PKs each week. Highest point total from that starting lineup wins the week.
You can sign up to play at the Fantasy Index Super League page. Fun weekly prizes, and an overall champion who gets to draft or auction with the experts in next year's preseason magazine.
Quarterbacks: Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning. Rodgers is home and will light up the Lions. Manning has gotta be torqued about the way he's getting ripped this week, and he owns the Raiders.
Running Backs: LeVeon Bell and Arian Foster. Bell will be huge against the Bengals. Houston has remote playoff chances (they need the Browns to beat the Ravens), but they're home against a soft Jaguars run defense and should hold up their end of the bargain.
Wide Receivers: Demaryius Thomas, Calvin Johnson, Jordy Nelson. I think I used these same three players last week. Whatever, they're going to be big in their matchups. Johnson should bring his A game to Green Bay, the others will benefit from their quarterbacks having big, big days.
Tight Ends: Zach Ertz and Jimmy Graham. Am I chasing last week's production with Ertz? Maybe. But surely the Eagles will try to tap into that again, and I'm nervous about Julius Thomas (hurting) and Rob Gronkowski (the likeliest Patriot to get an early seat with New England playing a meaningless game).
Kickers: Stephen Gostkowski and Randy Bullock. Patriots will score early and often, Texans will dominate the Jaguars. If this league had defenses, I would be using Houston and probably the Ravens, although San Francisco against Logan Thomas is also tempting.
Good luck to all of you, and have a great holiday tomorrow.
