I have been toying around with the concept of dynasties. Specifically, these current Patriots that have been tending to come out on top since Bill Belichick showed up in 2000.
If you look at winning percentages in 10-year chunks, the Patriots tend to come out on top. Since the league went to a 16-game schedule in 1978, only three teams have been able to win over 70 percent of their games in a 10-year period. Patriots, 49ers and Colts. (Indianapolis, oddly, has won only one Super Bowl during all those good seasons.).
Since the move to the 16-game slate, 43 teams have won at least 65 percent of their games during a 10-year period.

At the other end of the schedule, here are the worst teams. These are the franchises that over 10 years have been able to win less than a third of their games. They’re all pretty pitiful.
