One other deal on C.J. Spiller that I will toss out. He’s going to catch a ton of passes. He’s got really good hands – better than anyone else on that roster – and the Saints love getting the ball to their running backs in the passing game.
Since Sean Payton became the coach there in 2006, the Saints have completed over 300 more passes to running backs than any other team.
Not a surprise that the Saints are No. 1, but 300 more than anyone, that’s a lot. In the same time period (nine years) they’ve completed over twice as many passes to running backs as 13 other teams.

Reggie Bush, Darren Sproles and Pierre Thomas have all had multiple seasons with over 70 catches in the Sean Payton Era. That’s the kind of potential we’re talking about with Spiller.
