Teddy Bridgewater

Second-year quarterback very sharp in preseason

Most teams have played two exhibitions so far, and one of the quarterbacks who's looked especially good is Teddy Bridgewater. He hasn't had Adrian Peterson in the backfield, but he's been moving the offense up and down the field.

Bridgewater has actually played three exhibitions: 5 0f 6 in the Hall of Fame Game, 7 of 8 against Tampa Bay and 10 of 14 against Oakland last night. Two of the incompletions were drops. That's at least 77 percent completions in all three games, and a collective passer rating of 111.2. That's best among all the starting quarterbacks with at least 15 pass attempts thus far in the preseason.

Bridgewater seems to have a solid receiving corps, and looks in complete command of the offense. These are just practice games, but Bridgewater seems poised to have a solid year. Maybe a nice option for those who wait until the later rounds of the draft to select a quarterback.
