Green Bay has gotten its butt kicked two weeks in a row, but best not to panic. Scheduling is on the way. The Packers have played a tough schedule recently – at Denver and at Carolina. But a bunch of soft opponents are on the way.
Whether you look at wins or simply points scored, Green Bay’s schedule projects to be the 2nd-easiest in the league over the next month and a half. The Packers’ next six opponents have a combined record of 17-31, and they’re currently allowing an average of 26.4 points per game – a point more than 30 other schedules.
For this one, I’m looking at current NFL numbers (win-loss records and points allowed), then combining with the existing schedule. For each team I’m looking at the next six games (so Weeks 10-15 for most teams, and Weeks 10-16 for teams that still have a bye coming up).
For wins-losses, Jacksonville has the easiest schedule. The Jets and Ravens are also on the easy side.
The Giants currently lead the NFC East, but they have the hardest schedule coming up, with their next six opponents currently sitting at 33-15. Houston and Atlanta also have hard schedules.
For points scored, the Saints, Packers and Washington have the easiest schedules, with the Colts also up there.
The Cardinals, Bears, Giants and Browns seem to have the hardest defenses coming up.
