Gametime calls for Hurns, Lynch

Forte not expected to play

A lot of gametime decisions around the NFL today, but all are not created equal. If you've got a comparable option to any of them, best to err on the side of caution rather than risk taking a zero. Here's the rundown.

  • Allen Hurns (foot) will apparently test things out in warmups, and be active or inactive based on how that goes. The Jaguars are a 1 p.m. game, so we'll know if he'll be out there before any of the games kick off. Personally I'm benching Hurns; don't want to chance him being active but playing limited snaps. But there's a decent chance he won't play at all. Jacksonville plays on Thursday night next week. Bryan Walters is the No. 3 for the Jaguars, expected to start if Hurns is out. Marqise Lee is expected to play, and there's an outside chance he'd be the starter (but No. 3 is a lot more likely, with Lee having not suited up since Week 3).

  • Marshawn Lynch will also be a gametime call, and that one is trickier, since Seattle plays Arizona at 8:30 p.m. Eastern. Night game, so if he ends up being inactive, your choices to replace him in the lineup at that point will be minimal (Thomas Rawls is the Seattle No. 2). There's also the chance with Lynch that he's active but plays little if at all, as happened earlier this season. It's a big game and Lynch will no doubt try to play, but in a poor matchup at less than 100 percent, best bet is to avoid him if you can.

  • Latavius Murray (concussion) is expected to play. It's not a great matchup (Minnesota), but he should be in for his normal amount of carries.

  • Matt Forte (knee) is not expected to play, making Jeremy Langford a quality fill-in against the Rams (albeit also not a great matchup).

  • Ben Roethlisberger won't start; it will be Landry Jones. The other quarterback in that game with be Johnny Manziel, not Josh McCown.
