On the surface this appears to be a minor story: disappointing Denver RB C.J. ANDERSON (ankle) is questionable and thus (in theory) 50/50 to play tomorrow at Pittsburgh. But we note that the Broncos struggled mightily without Anderson a week ago -- Ronnie Hillman gained just 20 yards on his 12 carries; the team managed a mere 12 points in its loss to Oakland -- and we wonder if maybe the threat of rugged up-the-middle carries is somehow crucial to making the offense go. As of now it appears that the theory will be put to the test. Various reports Friday indicated that Anderson is likely to suit up despite the questionable designation.
