What are we supposed to make of Colin Kaepernick? At times he looks terrible – like he’ll be headed for the waiver wire before long. But he’s been playing better recently, and he has a fantasy friendly game.

Kaepernick has always had some of the best speed of any quarterback, and they’re using that more than they have in the past. He’s averaged 62 rushing yards in the games he’s started. He’s also averaging 240 passing yards in his last four games. In typical fantasy leagues, rushing production is twice as value, so Kaepernick’s production is the same as an immobile pocket passer – Palmer, Manning, Bradford, whoever – averaging 364 passing yards per game.

And he’s putting the ball in the end zone. The 49ers have lost 10 straight, but they’ve been held under 2 TDs in only one game all year.

However you want to slice it, Kaepernick has scored 113.8 fantasy points in his last four games. Only two quarterbacks this year have averaged more fantasy points in the last four games they’ve started.
