The Sunday morning injury reports are filtering in, and there's one surprise inactive. Theo Riddick won't play for the Lions. He was questionable with a wrist injury, but didn't seem to be in danger of missing the game. That changes things dramatically for Detroit's offense, which is down to Dwayne Washington, Zach Zenner and the recently re-signed Joique Bell at running back. None are comparable pass catchers.
It's guesswork, because any one of the three could lead running backs in receptions. I think it benefits Golden Tate and Eric Ebron, who should catch a lot more short passes.
Looks like the pessimism yesterday on Julio Jones has carried over; he might not even be active, and if he is, you run the risk of him being out there strictly as a decoy.
Speaking of No. 1 wide receivers, Michael Thomas of the Saints will be a gametime decision. So there's risk in assuming he'll be active or play anything close to his usual role.
Other notes:
Jordan Reed is going to play through a shoulder injury. That curbs the potential of Vernon Davis. Reed himself carries some risk, but presumably he wouldn't be playing if he couldn't have something close to his usual role.
Ryan Mathews is good to go for the Eagles, and Washington is tied for the league lead with 17 rushing touchdowns allowed.
Trevor Siemian will start for the Broncos.
Marvin Jones is expected to play.
Chris Ivory is expected to miss Jacksonville's game against Minnesota.
Dorial Green-Beckham won't play for the Eagles.
