The San Francisco 49ers and Cleveland Browns are frequently mentioned as teams that can’t stop the run. And that’s fair; they’ve allowed more rushing yards than anybody. But there’s a third defense that’s pretty awful against the run right now.

The Buffalo Bills have been giving up a lot of rushing production. They’ve allowed 18 rushing touchdowns, and they’ve allowed over 135 rushing yards three weeks in a row. They’ve allowed rushing touchdowns in seven straight games.

They also, unusually, have allowed two different runners to go over 200 rushing yards. That’s unusual. In the last 30 years, only five other teams have allowed multiple running backs to go over 200 rushing yards.

As bad as the Browns are, therefore, I have some interest in Isaiah Crowell this week. He went over 100 yards last week against Cincinnati (another team with a bad run defense), and I think he could have another one of those games in him.
