Around the NFL: Crusher for Crowell

Isaiah Crowell has never been a particularly exciting player. But he's been better than you might think, averaging 4.3 yards per carry for his career and going over 1,000 total yards twice for a bad Browns team. But his Oakland season is over before it began: he tore his Achilles at a workout yesterday, and is done for the year.   more »

Raiders add Crowell to backfield

The Oakland Raiders signed veteran running back ISAIAH CROWELL to a one-year contract late last week. Crowell, 26, is a durable five-year veteran who joins JALEN RICHARD in the Raiders running back room. Last season’s leading rushers, MARSHAWN LYNCH and DOUG MARTIN, are both unrestricted free agents.

Around the NFL: Isaiah Crowell

The Raiders signed Isaiah Crowell yesterday, so he'll be playing for his third team in the last three years. There's nothing special about Crowell, but he's a capable runner who can also play in the passing game, so it's a bit strange that teams are seldom interested in keeping him around. Or it's just a statement about how the league views running backs.   more »

Factoid: Isaiah Crowell's big day

A warm round of applause is in order for Isaiah Crowell. He tends to be lightly regarded, but he’s a talented back who runs hard. He’s been busting a lot of big runs for the Jets, and he did the same thing with the Browns.   more »

Crowell returns to practice

New York Jets running back ISAIAH CROWELL returned to practice on Monday. Crowell suffered a head injury in the preseason opener and didn’t play in last Thursday’s preseason game. Head injury aside, Crowell has had a strong training camp and is expected to add fantasy value in 2018.

Around the NFL: Crowell looks solid

I don’t understand why Isaiah Crowell didn’t receive more interest as a free agent. He signed for $12 million over three years, which is less than Jerick McKinnon, Dion Lewis and Carlos Hyde. It wouldn’t surprise me if he’s better than all of those guys.  more »

Crowell to get first crack as lead back

While lead backMore status is great, a suspect offensive line and the presence of fellow running backs BILAL POWELL and ELI MCGUIRE could limit Crowell’s fantasy upside. Less

The New York Jets signed running back THOMAS RAWLS during the offseason but it now appears as though he is not a lock to make the roster. If your fantasy teamMore is looking for a New York Jets running back this season, BILAL POWELL and ISAIAH CROWELL are much better options. Less
