If you drafted only one defense, kicker or tight end and that player is from Miami or Tamp Bay, come up with a Plan B. The league has decided to postpone the Bucs-Dolphins game scheduled for this Sunday to Week 11, when both teams were supposed to have their bye.
That's the official word from the league this morning. There was talk about moving the game to a neutral site, and some of us fantasy writers had to proceed with examining the contest, but it's all moot now.
It's tough on the teams, who will now need to play 16 straight games without a bye, but there are bigger issues at stake than a football game.
Doug Martin's suspension will now occur in Weeks 2-4; that's one of the more noteworthy fantasy ramifications. And if you hoped to sit down say Philip Rivers against Denver this week, in favor of your other option, Winston against Miami, you'll need to go with Rivers or find another option.
On the bright side, those in FFPC leagues (where Week 11 is the last week of the regular season) will now be able to have Mike Evans, Doug Martin, DeVante Parker and Jay Ajayi, among others, available for those important games. Just not in Week 1.
