The Monday night teams have released their injury reports for the week, and there are notable players on both sides. Neither offense is 100 percent.
For Washington, Jamison Crowder (hamstring), Jordan Reed (rib, sternum) and Robert Kelley (rib) are all questionable. There’s risk counting on any of these guys.
Reed and Kelley both were limited in practice all week. Neither was truly held out of a practice. But that doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll play. Kelley was a limited participant all of last week and didn’t dress. Reed last week was limited on Thursday and Friday and didn’t play.
Crowder presumably tweaked something at practice, because he wasn’t mentioned on the injury report Wednesday. He was limited on Thursday and Friday. Considering it’s a tough matchup anyway, I wouldn’t be excited about starting him.
Washington has other wide receivers. Terrelle Pryor, Ryan Grant and Josh Doctson are all healthy. If Reed sits, they’ve still got Vernon Davis and Niles Paul as pass-catching threats at tight end.
If Kelley is held out, Washington will use a one-two punch at tailback. Chris Thompson definitely has a multi-purpose role (even if Kelley is healthy). The main ball-carrying back would either be Samaje Perine or Mack Brown. Perine left last week’s game with a hand injury, but he’s been practicing fully. But Perine also fumbled in that game, and Brown was more effective after coming in late.
Washington won’t have reserve offensive tackle Ty Nsekhe (core muscle).
For Kansas City, they won’t have linebacker Dee Ford, and their offensive line is banged up. Center Mitch Morse (foot) is definitely out, and left tackle Eric Fisher (back) didn’t practice on Friday or Saturday. He’s questionable.
