Washington RB CHRIS THOMPSON, who has missed the past two games with rib and knee injuries, is expected to play at the Giants this afternoon. Hard to know how this particular game may set up for him, as Thompson's role consists largely of catching passes out of the backfield, and the Giants' defense is decidedly middle-of-the-pack in almost every regard. If fellow Washington RB ADRIAN PETERSON continues his recent hot streak and the team establishes a lead -- both of which seem reasonably likely -- Thompson could find himself eased back into action. Given that he'll be working off some rust, probably best to wait a week before plugging him back into your lineup.
