Question

Arizona picked Josh Rosen 10th in the first round last year and in April selected Kyler Murray No. 1 overall. In the Super Bowl era, what is the only other team that has selected quarterbacks in the first round two years in a row? That’s in the standard, regular draft (not the supplemental draft).

Answer

The Baltimore Colts. In 1982, they selected Art Schlichter with the 4th pick. The next year, they selected John Elway No. 1 overall (but later traded him to Denver). If you want to dip into supplemental picks, then the Cowboys can also be included. They picked Troy Aikman No. 1 in 1989, and that same year used a first-round pick on Steve Walsh (a pick that eventually caused them to forfeit the No. 1 overall pick of the 1990 draft).
