Question

Davante Adams went for 180 yards on Thursday night but didn’t catch a touchdown. In Week 2, he went for 106 yards against Minnesota, but also with no scores. Going back to last season, in fact, Adams hasn’t caught a touchdown in any of the last five games he’s gone for 100-plus yards. Who is the only player in league history who has gone without a TD catch in six straight 100-yard games? The player is retired, and currently working as an assistant coach at the NFL level.

Answer

Wes Welker. He didn’t score in any of his four 100-yard games in 2008, along with his last two of the 2007 season. Welker is currently coaching wide receivers for the 49ers, after spending the last two seasons with the Texans. I expect many would look for Julio Jones in this category. He had a five-game streak that ended last year.
