Tough news for Sterling Shepard and the Giants. He's been out the last three games with a concussion, but cleared the protocol and was set to return to face Dallas tomorrow night. But news this morning that he's been ruled out of the game; apparently had a setback. Get him out of lineups.
I have Shepard in a lot of leagues, and I picked up Darius Slayton this week. Between byes and injuries, I don't have a lot of options and am plugging him in. Scanning the Friday Update, I think I'd probably slot Slayton around 50th in PPR, a little lower than where Shepard was going to be. Not a great option, but beggars can't always be choosers on Sunday morning.
One other late news item: although Chris Herndon is ACTIVE for the Jets, one report suggested it's only because the Jets already used all their inactive spot; he might not actually step on the field. Honesty isn't always easy to come by, but as of Friday the Jets were not optimistic about Herndon making his 2019 debut. Doesn't look like he can be counted on.
