At various points during the season Kansas City was without Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill, while San Francisco didn't have Kwon Alexander, Dee Ford and Richard Sherman. But they managed to overcome, and here they are: ready for the Super Bowl, and fully healthy.
Sure, both teams have some players on injured reserve, like Marquise Goodwin and Darrel Williams. But everyone else is raring to go, getting in full practices on Friday. The final injury report has a "(no players listed)" designation for both teams.
Most notably, Tevin Coleman (shoulder) practiced in full yesterday. He's good to go for San Francisco, and will potentially even start at running back. Don't overrate that: he started plenty of games the second half of the season before quickly giving way to Raheem Mostert, who should be the featured ballcarrier. But if you're in the kind of competition where you need to settle for a No. 2 running back -- perhaps you've already used Mostert and Damien Williams -- you should be looking at LeSean McCoy and Coleman rather than Matt Breida, the latter of whom will likely be the No. 3.
Also practicing fully on Friday for San Francisco were Kwon Alexander (pectoral) and safety Jaquiski Tartt (ribs). Not listed on the final report.
Kansas City mentioned four players on the injury report throughout the week: Chris Jones (calf), Travis Kelce (knee), Austin Reiter (wrist) and Deon Yelder (Achilles). All four players practiced fully Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. They're fine.
