MLB has delayed the start of the season by at least two weeks. As a result, we are changing our baseball newsletter publication schedule.

Next week's March 17 issue will be delayed until baseball resumes. In the meantime, we will send a brief e-mail to subscribers with a few late developments.

We plan to publish issues on the two Tuesdays prior to Opening Day, and on the Tuesday following Opening Day. If MLB holds firm to the two week delay, then the season would start Thursday, April 9 -- meaning our future issues would be published March 31, April 7 and April 14.

Customers who have already ordered the March 17 edition can expect it to be delivered two Tuesdays prior to the first games of the season -- i.e. on March 31 if MLB holds to the two week timetable. Likewise, customers who ordered the March 24 edition would see delivery on the Tuesday immediately prior to Opening Day. And customers who ordered the March 31 edition can expect delivery the Tuesday after Opening Day.

Assuming that MLB resumes on a Thursday, then these issues will be published 9 days prior to Opening Day, 2 days prior to Opening Day, and 5 days after Opening Day.

We expect this situation to change in the hours and days to come. MLB must offer guidance to clubs regarding whether players should go home or stay in camp; how service time will be calculated; how much additional training time will be needed before the season resumes; etc.
