Question

Jared Cook has had big seasons for both of the teams that will play tonight. He went for 705 yards and 9 TDs last year for the Saints; the previous season he caught 68 passes for 896 yards and 6 TDs for the Raiders. Who was the last other tight end to finish with top-10 numbers (PPR scoring) for two different teams in back-to-back seasons?

Answer

Tony Gonzalez (Kansas City and Atlanta in 2008-09). This doesn’t happen often. In the last 30 years, it’s happened with only three others: Keith Jackson (1991-92), Wesley Walls (1995-96) and Shannon Sharpe (2001-02). Two other active tight ends have had top-10 numbers with different teams, but not in back-to-back seasons: Jimmy Graham and Greg Olsen.
