It was probably inevitable that some team and some week of the NFL season would be affected by COVID-19 beyond empty stands. The Titans had 8 positive tests today (players and team personnel), and have sent everyone home from their facility. The Vikings, who Tennessee played last week, have done the same.
It's a developing story, but it seemed important to make mention of it quickly for those submitting waiver claims today. There's a possibility that both Tennessee and Minnesota -- and the teams they're facing, the Steelers and Texans -- will need to take a week off.
The Vikings and Titans have a bye in Week 7, and the Steelers and Texans have byes in Week 8. There may be a way games involving those teams could be moved around and rescheduled, perhaps by moving around games involving other teams so byes could line up.
It's also possible that this will be much ado about nothing, and every Viking test will come back negative, and they'll be able to proceed as planned. But the best-case scenario still involves at least three Titans players unable to play against Pittsburgh.
Barring further information, fantasy teams should consider other Week 4 options than players from those four teams. Because it's possible they won't be able to play, or at least not as originally scheduled.
